Our team:

Our experienced guides are qualified in conducting bike tours in Rio de Janeiro and registered at the brazilian ministry of tourism. All of our guides are local guides, they are multilingual (english, german and portuguese), personable and very knowledgeable about Rio de Janeiro.

Your security is important for us. All of our bike tours are mapped and classified according to the brazilian bike tour standard (ABNT NBR 15509-1).


Our bike tours take about 4 hours with short breaks to re-energize.

Our bike tours:

1)    Bike paths of Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro has about 140 km of cycle paths, the majority goes through the most beautifuls regions of Rio de Janeiro, with the sandy beaches and its landmarks. Therefore, it’s the best choice to go biking.

a)     Beaches of the South Zone

The South Zone is considered as the main attraction of Rio de Janeiro to Cariocas and tourists. Starting at the the Aterro de Flamengo, a park in 1965, with its native and exotic trees, has a panoramic view to the Sugar Loaf, we cycle to fantastic neighborhoods of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, which became famous in the 60s and 70s due to the intellectuals, artitsts, poets and musicians. After a break, we’ll continue our bike tour passing through the lagoon, framed by mountains and embraced by Christ the Redeemer, and going back to Aterro de Flamengo.

b)    Beaches of the West Zone

The beaches of Barra da Tijuca, Reserva, Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Pontal, Prainha and Grumari are known because of the clear rough sea and the perfect waves for surfers. Starting at te beach of Barra da Tijuca and cycling on the bike path along the beaches of the West Zone until the magnificant beach of Prainha, located between sea and mountains.

Included: transfer bike to Barra da Tijuca neighborhood.

2)     Morro da Urca ( Pão de Açucar)

Beaches of South Zone + Hiking

The Urca hill (morro da Urca) takes part of the touristic region of Sugar Loaf with its beautiful beaches of Praia Vermelha. Cycling on the bike paths at the beaches of the South Zone until Sugar Loaf, the place where the marvelous city was born. After a little break at the Praia Vermelha, we hike up to the Urca hill, from where we have a breathtaking view.

3)     Downtown of Rio

Historical tour

The centre of Rio de Janeiro is the cradle of the city, place of the first settlements and battle field of portugueses against the invaders. Nowadays, Rio’s downtown offers a big contrast between new and old. Here you can find modern skyscapers and beautiful buildings built in the last 400 years. Saturday and Sunday are the perfect days without the rush-hour traffic to bike through the streets and learn something about Rio’s history.

4)      Tour Rio Boêmio

Historical + Bohemian Tour

Rio de Janeiro is the city of samba, soccer and happiness. A bike tour through the city is better when it ends up with a party. After the historical tour we take the tram to Santa Teresa, the neighborhood where you find the soul of the carioca, the bohemian and genuine culture.

5)      Tijuca National Park

Cycling through the forest

The Tijuca National Park is the biggest urban forest in the world, with about 120 km². Dom Pedro II-the emperor-determined the creation of the National Park in the 19th century with the objetive to reforest the area devastated for coffee farming during many years. It isn’t only one of the main tourist spot with the Tijuca Peak, the Christ de Redeemer and Pedra da Gávea, it is also a beautiful example of rainforest with all its flora and fauna. Starting in the village of Alto da Boa Vista we cycle through the park, have some fantastic views to the city of Rio and take a shower in one of the waterfalls.
